Josh has been playing the guitar for almost 16 years and has been teaching for over 10 years. He has spent the past decade as a serious student of music, often practicing upwards of 15 hours a day. He describes his style as being progressive rock with elements of jazz fusion. When he was in high school, he played in two different jazz ensembles which performed regularly in different parts of the state. After high school, he attended the Guitar Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. While at Musicians Institute, Josh was able to perform at various venues in Hollywood including the Viper Room and the House of Blues. Josh has also performed in a Jazz Ensemble at the McNally College of Music. He is currently earning his Bachelors of Music Composition at Metro State College and hopes to get his Masters in Music Theory. Josh is passionate about helping his students develop musicianship which will allow them to find their own voice on the instrument.
