As a vocalist, Brendan aims to be on the cutting edge of Jazz in the 21st Century. His compositions and arrangements present fresh and innovative crossovers between Jazz, R&B, soul, and Funk. He has performed as a vocalist with The Sharp Five, a pianist and vocalist for indie-folk group. The Northern Empty, and sings for his own recent R&B project, UnSus.
Brendan is also active in Denver as an educator, teaching private voice and piano lessons at all levels. He’s involved with local nonprofit CCIA, both as a resident performer and clinician for middle and high school vocal programs, and currently co-directors a small vocal ensemble of auditioned high school students.
Brendan graduated in 2016 from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver with a BM in Jazz Studies (vocal performance), but has been singing his whole life. He’s also an avid skier, and, as a native Coloradan, loves all things outdoors.
