Spencer Gregg

Spencer Gregg

Voice, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele

For Spencer, music has been a foundation and main focus in life, starting at a young age singing in choirs, evolving to the present where he is proficiently educated in vocal, piano, and guitar technique and theory. A Music – General Emphasis degree from Doane University, alongside other deeply valued musical experiences, has played an important role leading him to music education.

At Doane University Spencer studied advanced vocal and intermediate piano theory and technique in unison with premier choral ensemble focus lead by Dr. Kurt Runestad. Independent study with Enoch Ulmer, a vocal coach at Doane, elevated his education and practice in both classical and modern vocal technique. With over ten years of studying piano, Spencer continues to develop theory and artistry with the instrument. Following his undergraduate program, Spencer involved himself in various choirs in Lincoln, Nebraska, under the direction of Tom Trenney.

In addition to ensemble work, Spencer enjoys hosting personal performances showcasing his passion for vocals, piano, and guitar in both solo and group settings. He has provided entry-level lessons to all ages interested in ukulele and guitar at Guitar Center. In addition to classical training, he has a range of experience in performing theater, folk, acoustic, and modern music. As an educator, he believes that it is his task to grow and nurture student’s potential to increase and further their musical experiences in every day life – to create a lifelong musician and root the passion of art in the soul.
